Sand Hill Cranes

This was early AM and cranes were leaving to feed for the day. Most were flying away but, these two circled back into the sun.

Specific Feedback Requested

There was clear blue sky so I added the background using PS Sky Replacement.

Charlie,

Very nice photo and I especially like the lighting with dramatic clouds. Awesome…Jim

The sky replacement worked well, Charlie. I really like the angle of light on the cranes-it’s quite dramatic, particularly the angle at which it hits the eyes.

Nice pose with that big wing scooping up the light. Also the black on the wings adds a nice dramatic feel to the photo Good job adding the sky. Looks good.

Thanks. Glad it worked.

I do like the Cranes, Charlie, but cannot be convinced by these inserted skies - it looks way too unnatural to me, mainly due to the fact that both the birds and the clouds are sharp. What I do like is the atmosphere the composite creates. So, mixed feelings  ! Cheers, Hans

Thanks for the feedback.
