"Should Never be Seen"

I can still remember my 4th grade telling us how to color our drawings:

Blue and Green should never be seen

The rhyme would help guide us in color applications. Now, all these years later, the admonition brings a smile.

Yes, Igor, I too heard a number of “sayings” in grade and middle school that were later demonstrated to be wrong. This view speaks well of the color theory description that analogous colors create a gentle, pleasing feeling. The cabin, the lake, the green hills and the fog are outstanding. I would enjoy looking at this scene over and over.

Lovely, subtle colors and great mood in this one. I was lucky not to hear the rhyme! The house adds some interest. It seems pretty dark, but it looks like it was that kind of day. I’m ready for rain!

Igor, I also did not learn the rhyme but love this scene! The mood and subtlety is wonderful!
