The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
I had shot at this location once before, but I wanted to try again hoping for better conditions this time around. I arrived about 45 minutes before sunrise, and the sky was looking moody and dramatic. There wasn’t much of a sunrise in the end, but I was treated to some beautiful low clouds drifting through the scene which for me definitely more interesting than a totally clear, blue sky.
The walk in took me along some old, abandoned railway tracks, and on the way, I passed an osprey nest. I paused for a while, watching them guard their nest and fish nearby. I didn’t get any photos worth keeping because wildlife photography isn’t really my strong suit, but it was still a lovely moment to witness.

Canon 45mm TS-E lens - this is fast becoming my favourite lens as lately I’ve been drawn to longer focal lengths for my landscapes (in the range or around 35mm - 50mm).

What a fantastic way to spend a morning, Tom. I was driving home from the airport on Friday and watched a bald eagle soaring over the Colorado River. It made my day! Your image is quite lovely, with a very calming mood about it. I’ve been more and more attracted to scenes with soft light like this one, and I just don’t see anything I would improve. The way the hills on the left and right frame the background mountains is great, holding my eye in the frame and guiding it back to the mountains. There is one deciduous tree almost smack dab in the middle of the evergreens and the lighter greens of its leaves act as a nice little bonus to find. Wonderful work!
What a peaceful, calming scene! The soft light , and slow shutter speed for the water are terrific. I don’t see a thing that could be improved! A really fine image -
Hi Tom,
This is flat out gorgeous! I could see myself sitting down in front of this scene and just relaxing; letting the peaceful vibe soak in. The soft light is gorgeous and those clouds add so much to this image. The mountains in the middle are framed up very nicely with those flanking peaks on the left and right sides. I also like the effect on the water from the four second exposure along with the reflection. I only have one very tiny nitpick and I only mention it because everything else looks so perfect. There is a tree poking up above the mountain on the right edge of the frame that I would clone out. Wonderful story BTW.
This superb, Tom! You did a great job processing this. I do not see anything I’d change. The low clouds add a wonderful dimension. I agree with @Ed_Lowe regarding cloning that tree on the right edge.
This would make a gorgeous, and huge print. Well done, sir!

It was a great morning to be out. It was cool and quiet, with no one around but me, the ospreys and a few trout that jumped out of the river. Quite the opposite of my last outing where there were so many people, so much noise and I couldn’t get away fast enough.
An absolutely stunning scene! You captured it perfectly and processed it wonderfully in my opinion. The crispness and detail throughout is great. I especially love the movement in the water gives the scene a dynamic feel to it. I don’t think I would change a thing.
