The Spotted Owlett has good color and feather detail. Not having the raw file, I could only change the cropping by taking some off the top. You could change the viewing angle by moving back, which will give the viewer a better angle view the Owlett.
Hope you don’t mind the repost.

Excellent detail in the owlet, Balan. While the steep angle isn’t ideal for eye contact, it does really show off those eye lashes. The owlet has the look of being pasted into the frame sue to the separation of it from the large three section behind it being significantly out of focus. That tends to be a problem in bird photography, and the only way I’ve figured out for dealing with it is refocusing on the background for another shot to allow a simple two-shot focus stack. Unfortunately, remembering about it when looking at an image is a lot easier than remembering to actually do it in the field.

Good look at the owl, Balan. Always nice to get one, especially in the open like this. I felt the owl was a bit overwhelmed by the tree and Peter’s crop helps to let the owl stand out more.
