Spring

Scilla in a field of Ficaria. Both came to my garden spontaneously. Handheld (laying on the ground), camera on “bean” bag (filled with polystyrene chips).

A sight for color-starved eyes! Spring indeed. I wish the OOF flower in the back was in focus or not there. Maybe a stack or blend with another shot with it crisp? The colors look natural and the light, while direct, hasn’t blown anything out that I can see.

I can only say that I agree with you, @Kris_Smith . The OOF flower isn’t bothering me too much (otherwise I wouldn’t have submitted the photo), but it is more prominent than I expected in the viewfinder.
Stack with another shot is a good idea, but unfortunately the other shot is not available. For next time

Nice flowers. You might want to give more attention to your background. Even though a lot of it is out of focus, it still detracts. Getting closer to a single flower or a group of flowers could help with the background.
