Description

This is an image from Vienna Woods in Lower Austria, taken in February this year. It was almost frontal, yet diffused light that allowed the birches to stand out from the otherwise rather dark forest.

Peter, you tell a lovely tale of the Vienna Woods here -pun intended. The stark trees make a nice statement, striking and effective. I tinkered bit, removed the dark tree limb in the LLC and also added “soft pop” from TK9 at about 50%. This doesn’t make the image better than what you have, just a tad more punchy.

Lovely catch of those white trunks Peter. It really doesn’t jump out until the larger version, but that tree with the darker trunk adds a nice contrast to the foreground.
