I was out early one morning photographing birds and came around a corner to find this amazing sunrise out of the fog. I had a 600mm lens on a beanbag over my car window. I had to maneuver my car to get the right angle. Just a quick grab shot and the light/colors were over.

Really love the mood this image sets off for me. Great detail in the sun and just a hint of an outline for the trees in the foreground. Love the horizontal striations going through the sun as well. What a neat scene.
This is a matter of pure serendipity, a lot of the strong impact of this image derives from the perspective of using a 600mm lens. Good thing you went out to shoot birds that morning
