Very nice!! The moon is so bright that even a couple of days before full, when there is still some visible color in the sky, the sky goes black when the moon is pleasingly exposed. But you did get the sky color in the morning shot. It look like there was a filter of the haze/dust/smoke/pollution that is all to common these days. And of course that makes closer to the horizon shots more frustrating.

Interestingly there is more noise in the second one, which looks like maybe the moon was brighter. (It was like a floodlight here!) Balancing detail and noise reduction is always a challenge. For moons, I find I can get away with fairly low ISO and SS. I use the 2X on my 100-500 which gives f/13 (wide open is fine) and a good exposure is usually about 1/250 at ISO 400, with a remote release or shutter delay.

I love the color in that first shot; that rich blue is very nice. As @Diane_Miller notes, it’s interesting how much more noise is in the second image if you used the same settings for both images.
