An edit already. After posting the light tones look too flat, so a little more adjustment made.
Critique Style Requested: Standard
The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
I was heading down to the new bird blind at 6 am, hoping for some luck, but didn’t have much. But the moon was high in the sky three days after full which gives nice definition of the craters at the edge. Mare Crisium (the Sea of Crises) stands out strikingly at 4:00. And just for interest I’ve marked the spot where humans first set foot on the moon 55 years ago – at the edge of the Sea of Tranquility.
Specific Feedback
All comments welcome! I’ve resisted the temptation to pull out more detail as it appeared this way to my eye.
Technical Details
I only had the 1.4X on, and just did a quick handheld shot. In LR I brought out a little detail with the Clarity slider and lightened the sky with Curves. Into PS for denoise. Cropped to 14% of the original frame. The air was quite free of turbulence and the craters are very well-defined.
