Critique Style Requested: Standard

Description

I like how the light was striking this sycmore tree. Also the isolation of this tree helped to draw my attention to it. I actually passed this tree several times, but on this ocassion the light compelled me to stop and take several photos.

Specific Feedback

How well the light adds to the image as well as the composition with the single tree.

Technical Details

Nice tree with lots of character. I like the lone tree composition. Light is great.
My only small nit are the tree limbs encroaching in from both sides. I’m sure there was no way to eliminate them in field.

Thank you for your kind words. I do agree about the small branches.

I too like images of lone trees that define an
image. Yes, there are a number of distracting branches that interfere with the sycamore. I have cropped a tad from the bottom and right side. The branch removal is simply with the remove tool in PS. Using TK9, I also added a glow to the image and also inserted a vignette. Hope this helps. Nice image.ed.IMG_2203V1.tif (25.3 MB)
