A pair of bald eagles are nesting near my route to and from work, so this image was not very hard to get. However, a nice clear winter day, beautiful light, and a great pose. What more could you ask for?
Pieter, the “clean” view with the dead tree, eagle and blue sky is quite striking. The eagle, with it’s puffed up feathers look cold. If you do a bit of burning-in on the brightest parts of the snag, the eagle will stand out a bit more.
