The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
At first I didn’t think much of this subject. It was one of those things where it got more interesting as I studied it. I guess I liked the landscape of this leaf - all the specs and holes on it’s surface. I also liked the complementary surroundings. It’s a simple subject in a way.
Specific Feedback
Does this hold interest? Can a single leaf take up the whole space and be interesting?

Igor, this one works for me! This image feels a bit dark and mystical. I can imagine the little leaves bowing to their “King” leaf holding court. I like the light brushing across the middle of the large leaf/plant. The hole in it just adds character and the white frame works very well with this image. I don’t really see any room for improvement with this one. Bravo!
Hi Igor,
Yes the image does hold my interest and yes the single leaf is interesting although it would probably be less so without the surrounding cast of smaller leaves. I find the soft subtle light to be sublime as it showcases all the lovely details in this miniature landscape. No suggestions from me. Nicely done.
Yes, and yes. Absolutely. This might be my favorite of your Hawaii series - although admitedly, “Wabi-Sabi” is pretty special. I think the gorgeous colors in that leaf define that one more than anything else.
Here, I think you’ve gone against convention with the solitary leaf centered as it is. Light, rather than color, I think, define this one. All the little imperfections in this leaf make it all the more natural and beautiful. I find the surrounding leaves and litter to be fascinating and beautiful. Yet, the surroundings only support the presence of the leaf and don’t take away from it.
I’m guessing/assuming some vignetting? Which works very nicely in bringing the leaf to life.
I would be remiss if I didn’t bring up some frivolous nitpick. So the only distraction I will not are the tiny highlights in the ULC. Of course not a big deal. Just a quick thought on these nitpicks. To me, they can be distractions for some, and not everyone, I get it. But one thing is certain, not having a little highlight distraction, commenting that an image needs a little eye magnet… said noone ever. Take all my nits with a grain of salt.
Wonderful image. You came away with some beauties from your trip.
