Love this Jim. I like how there’s some detail in the snow crystals, that echo the great detail in the flower. This image has what I like to cal ‘gesture’. And most certainly that gesture is pointing the way…to…well for me the bad guy thing works. Gave me a good giggle, it did.
Jim, it looks like a very cold, possibly shocked by the deep snow, Rose. I do like how it seems to be pointing off to the right. You could enhance that with more snow on the right, if you have it.
Yup, love the gesture and movement of the subject. Title is fun too. Was this shot as a square or copped that way? With the movement going right and the slight shadow on the snow, I think more of the frame on that side would help the flow. Funny to say when you have negative space, but I think you might need a little more on the right. Thanks for the smile at the end of a long day.
This was a vertical (portrait) orientation, mostly cropped from the top and a bit off the bottom. In retrospect I do wish I had shot it in landscape, but at the time I didn’t see it as “pointing that way.”
Yup, we have to live with what we have – until we get it into Photoshop. And sometimes we just don’t see all the possibilities of an image until later. Still a fun image and story.
