Tidal Pattern

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

Low tide on the Oregon coast revealed this pattern of sand interwoven with ribbons of sea water. I was photographing the seascape from an elevated position on a bridge when this small area on a sand bar stood out to me. Two hours later these patterns were no longer visible, as the tide had rolled back in, totally covering this area in water.

Technical Details

Haha! Kind of like those monks who do intricate sand paintings, just to watch them get washed away. Impermanence is their teacher.
It’s the color in your piece here that draws me. A great emphasis on the blues and golds - my favorite combo. Then the splashes of green of emphasis. Well seen Ted.

Thanks Connie. I thought the color contrast between the water and sand worked well here.
