Gorgeous and glorious sky Don! Similar to Bill, I think that lone saguaro is the star of the show - well, at least next after the sunrise sky!
I’m not sure where you’re located - I’m guessing AZ, but I could be wrong. Anyway, I never lived there, although my parents and siblings were in Tucson for 20+ years and so I spent plenty of time there and in Saguaro NP. I say that because, at least IMHO, the skies in AZ are the biggest and most dramatic skies to be seen anywhere. But then… this could be anywhere besides AZ… but that doesn’t change the beauty!
Bill, Lon, Bonnie, thanks. Lon, I live in Phoenix and this is in the Phoenix Mountains Preserve. I’ve hiked through this area many times and I’d made a mental note that this spot might be a good place to shoot a vivid sunrise.

Don, it is a glorious sunrise and the saguaro adds well to the view and tells use the location. I am thinking that a tighter view of the cacti and the rugged clouds would look good as well, although you probably don’t want to crop this view this much.
Thanks, Mark. You’re right that more than one composition was available. I took one in portrait orientation that I like. But I wanted one with the sky as the primary subject.
