Debbie, welcome to NPN. This is a fine look at this falls, very peaceful and inviting. Your choice of shutter speed adds some soothing to the falling water while retaining the details in the small steps. It’s interesting that a pano version (as is looks when the mouse is over the image and the title shows along the bottom) looks good. However, the pool at the bottom is a good addition to the scene as it’s quietness contrasts with the falling water.

Good point about the pano version… I like that too. Thank you.
Hi Debbie! I’ve only hiked up to Triple Falls a few times, and every time it was sunny — you had a great, mostly overcast day! And it gave you wonderful lighting for this waterfall. The image is one of the best I’ve seen of Triple Falls. Your post-processing really brought out detail beautifully — the water flow and rock faces especially. I happen to like the pool in the foreground with the continued reflection of the waterfall. Beautiful shot!

Thank you so much!
One thing I wasn’t sure about is the sky, it was pretty blown out. The one cloud in the middle looks a little odd in this result.
Hi Debbie, from what I can see, the sky looks fine. You handled it well if it was blown out. I did see that the area of the trees at the top of the falls appears soft and blurry. That might be due to mist from the falls. Do you know? I’m unsure if anything can be done about that, and it probably isn’t necessary. I tend to see picky things in images!

I don’t think there was enough spray at the top to cause mist, I probably overdid it a little when I tried to soften that area in the distance.
