Tusker in the rain

Specific Feedback Requested

Do you think tree cutting the frame diagonally is not required ??
I was just trying to utilize, what they call ‘props’ in advertising photography, which were naturally available.

Technical Details

Canon R 5; RF 100-500 mm lens; ISO 320; 1/160 sec. at f 5.

Good question, Jagdeep. I don’t really like it, but am not sure there is anything to be done about it. The rain is a nice touch though.

I agree with Linda. The large diagonal tree doesn’t add to the image IMO but the rain does. Plus the tree seems sharper than the elephant.

I have to agree with Linda & Allen on this one, Jagdeep! I don’t think the dead tree helps. In fact it just looks like you took the shot at the wrong time. If it had been in the background it might have added some context. It also appears that the camera focused on the tree instead of the elephant which makes it kind of the primary subject. I really like the effect of the slow shutter speed on the rain drops though. The streaking makes it more obvious that it was rainy quite hard.
