Webinar - Creative compositions in macro photography by Lars Beygang

About the Webinar

The macro world opens up a whole new perspective in nature photography. Interesting compositions are often found in a very small section of nature with specific patterns, fascinating insects, or beautiful textures illuminated by sunlight or artificial lighting. Finding these compositions is difficult, but the result is rewarding. With this webinar, I want to show you what the small world right outside my doorstep looks like and how you can find an interesting composition. For most of the photos I take, I don’t have to travel far — beautiful compositions can be found everywhere.

About the Presenter

From an early age, Lars has been fascinated by the diversity of nature. As a child, he often wandered through the local woods with his parents and spent holidays hiking in the Alps. This fascination soon grew into a desire to capture what he saw with a camera. In 2020, after investing in his first proper camera and lens, he began exploring a variety of habitats, especially those near his hometown in Bavaria.

At first, Lars focused mainly on photographing birds and mammals in their environments, but he soon felt drawn to the smaller, hidden world. With a macro lens, he discovered an entirely new perspective that continues to inspire him. For the past five years, he has published a photo calendar, and he is currently contributing images to two different book projects. In addition, over the last two years, he has collaborated with a good friend to offer macrophotography workshops in the local woods.
