As many of you know Shirley Freeman stepped down as Macro Moderator after several years of faithful service. We have found a more than capable replacement/successor in Jim Zablotny. Jim’s skill as a photographer and his encyclopedic knowledge of all things entomology makes him the perfect fit for Macro-Close up. Another benefit for the general posting community is you won’t have to compete with Jim for the Editor’s Pick

Thank you for recommending me for this position. I wish Shirley the best and I enjoyed reading and learning from her critiques on NPN. I have known Bill Fach for a number of years and am honored to work with him and the other Moderators in this endeavor. The macro world contains some of the World’s greatest species diversity and there’s always something new to photograph whether it involves insects or other arthropods, tiny plants, and micro-landscapes. Once again, thank you for the opportunity and let’s go out and get some amazing images for us to critique…Jim
