White Sands in Pink

Fuji X-T2 50-140@50 iso 200 0.6 sec @ f 16 5 verticals stitched into pano in LR. Raw conversions with Iridium X-Transformer. Some footprints and a couple weeds cloned out in PS.

For a brief few minutes, the pre dawn light cast a pink glow over the entire area. The sky was pink, the sand was pink. It lasted about 4 minutes. I thought about color correcting the sand in post, but this is what we saw that morning.

Fantastic colour. Looks like it was a great morning!

Looks like a wonderful morning, Craig. Lovely image.

Thanks, it was one of those mornings that looked like a non-event, no significant clouds, no wind overnight to “clean the dunes”, just a light cloud cover. You never know.

Craig, the white sands at the bottom feel like clouds as they mimic the sky textures. The gentle pink in the sky is beautiful. This is a great view. Sadly, I can’t consider it in the running for a weekly pick because you posted it after the Saturday night 11:59:59 (USA eastern time) deadline for the mostly sky weekly challenge.

Great color and mood!!! A very enjoyable image.

Works all the way around for me. Lovely light and gentle color.
