I saw this doe early this morning at a local park. She peaked over the tall vegetation to give me a look. Shot from vehicle.

Allen: The deer is perfectly framed by the seed heads and vegetation which helps make this a very appealing image. Also, the eye contact is another big plus. You might consider bringing down the whites in the deer just a bit and burning the background as well to make her pop.

Oh yeah, this is the way to do it. Agree that the framing is darn good and elevates this above the usual shots of these vermin. I mean, lovely animals. They are so photogenic though. Those eyelashes! And I love the forward ear position - she’s clearly locked onto you. Good job locking on the eyes and not the tip of the nose. I love the fuzziness on her neck, too. Cars make great hides, don’t they?
