Description

Sedona Wetlands Preserve, Sedona, AZ
This ringneck drake was not too pleased with our “invasion” of his pond.
He and his buddies swam quite close, trying to entice us to go away

Specific Feedback

I loved the reeds and reflections in the BG, but toned them down considerably.
Still too strong?

The reeds look fine to me, Sandy. They do make for beautiful reflections. I also like the side view of the drake with the head turn that fits well with the title. It may just be my monitor, but the blacks in your last few images seem rather blocked up and I like rich blacks.

@Dennis_Plank
AACCKK ! The previous comments about my blacks were “try to pull more detail from them” - so now I’m trying to lighten and detail them more - and now they are
“blocked up” ? LOL - I’ll aim for a compromise!

Sorry, for the confusion Sandy. It’s the same comment in different words. Blocked up, to me, just means lack of detail.

Hi Sandy
I love everything about this photograph, the blacks look good on my I-Mac and the eye are everything.
