Windshield and Lamps

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

To walk and see an everyday machine and have an idea to photograph it… This image gave me the whites and blacks and some grays. The windshield and the heavy scratch really caught my eye, wondering if I could capture this effect of a real used piece of glass. The lamps at the top added to the image. But this image could be cropped with and without the top or bottom.

Specific Feedback

Subjective Image for sure. It is how I see things in the world. Using light as a tool to see if I can capture my vision. That has been a subject I have been thinking about a lot lately. We all see the world with different eyes and photographers on all levels do have vision. Can we capture that vision??? At least go and try and see what happens. Keep it Fun as usual !!!

Very well seen and beautifully executed, Gill. I like the framing you chose also.

Thanks. Just looking around and see light and dark contrast ideas. The sun was reflecting off the lamps. Just tried to capture something different.

Thanks for showing interest.

This is very cool, Gill! Both nicely seen and presented, with the high contrast B/W and the crop/framing. Looks like it was an interesting vehicle of some sort.
