I found this leaf near the end of a hike in North Carolina. The stark contrast of the gold leaf against the decaying woodland floor drew me into making the image.

Hi! I really like this shot also. The bright color against the dead background makes it stand out more, and the texture is there also. I love fall, and all the color associated with it. Very nice.
Todd, I love the simplicity of this image. You captured what most of us would walk by or walk on without even noticing. The bright gold color leaf against the decay of the forest floor really pops. Well seen and captured, with really nice details.
