A Queen Victoria agave

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

This kind of agave always draws my eye. This time the leaves seemed to resemble hooded monks sitting in rows.

Specific Feedback

All comments are welcome.

Technical Details

ISO 800, 280mm, f/8, 1/250th. I made a curve adjustment in Lightroom to increase the contrast a lot.

Interesting Image. This is really different and unusual. Very Cool and works great in B&W

Gorgeous processing, Don. I love just having the outlines.

Gill, Dennis, thanks. Not many images would work with this much contrast but it seemed the way to go with this one.

It certainly seems like the way to go. What a striking photo. If you hadn’t said what it is, I’d be stumped. The repetitive pattern is mesmerizing and mysterious. Simple, but also complex. Nicely seen and produced.

Don: What @Kris_Smith said. Exceptional vision to imagine this and superb craftsmanship to carry it off. Most excellent. >=))>

Kris, Bill, thanks for the kind words.
