Critique Style Requested: Standard
The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
The vision is that a spasecraft crosses the full of stars dark space directed towards a pianet.
The reality is that on the edge of a pond I used a 200mm macro lens for getting close to an old dead waterlily leaf and a bubble of air just popping up from the bottom of the pond.
Taking reality into account I have posted this photo in the Floral category where @Susanna_Euston advised me to post it also in the Abstract Nature category. I put soon the advice into practise because for this image I prefer to follow the vision more than the reality.
Specific Feedback
And you prefer to consider the reality of this image or rather the vision?
Technical Details
D800, Nikkor 200mm macro - f/19, ISO 250, 1/20 sec

Love this image Giuseppe! I’m happy you shared it here. It’s a great example of an abstract image which goes beyond representation of the true subject but instead elevates the imagination. Your vision for the photo is well executed. I would not change a thing.
The photo has symbolism. That blue planet could be Earth. The larger one represents destruction. We are headed for a collision that would end our world. Or maybe we survive a narrow catastrophe. These are ideas that the image sparks in me. Well done!
A bit late here, but I want to say that this is excellent abstract. It is both truly abstract in that I don’t think anyone would know what it was without your explanation and can be seen as representing something else. Well done.
I meant to look at this one more closely and never got back to it – I’m glad I did now because I love it! It does evoke outer space! I wouldn’t change a thing! Congratulations on the EP – well-deserved!!
The vision, Giuseppe, always the vision. Beautifully dark and disturbing.
Very late here, but this is a wonderful image.
Congratulations on the EP.
Oh, this is great! A really different and mysterious image. Without your explanation, I never would have guessed what it was. Doesn’t matter…the intrigue is compelling. I’m not often drawn to dark images, but this is wonderful.
