A dead leaf and an air bubble

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

Standing on the shore of a small pond inhabitated by many waterlilies I used my 200mm macro lens for getting near to a dead waterlily leaf that was floating near a bubble of air that had just popped up from the bottom of the pond. This was the reality.
But my vision was different. I see a spacecraft sailing in the dark space dotted with stars and headed towards a planet.

Specific Feedback

Which is the right category where to post this photo? Unfortunatly I think to know the answer and therefore I have downloaded in the Flora category but I would prefere to consider it as an intimate landscape.

Technical Details

D800E, Nikkor 200mm macro - f/19, ISO 259, 1/20 sec

@Giuseppe_Guadagno This is a wonderfully fascinating image! It works beautifully with the minimalist elements. The richness of the colors are gorgeous. You could also add this to the Abstract category. It is a great example creative seeing.

This is amazing Giuseppe. I really think this belongs over in the Landscape category because of what you’ve conveyed with this image of a large planet, a moon, and a spaceship with stars all about. This is out of this world. I love the dark color palette and the mixture of blues and browns.

@Susanna_Euston I liked very much your suggestion and have soon put it into practice posting this photo also in the Abstract category. I fear without luck but it doesn’t matter for this photo I like abstraction more than reality. Thanks Susanna.

@Ed_Williams. Thanks for your very rewarding comment. I surely would love to post this image in the Landscape category as an intimate landscape of the space, it would have been the first of its kind! I am afraid I wouldn’t have permission!
I like your idea of considering the bubble of air a moon of the planet.

Gigi: I’ve been neglecting my Flora duties, putting more emphasis on macro so I missed this. You have not lost your touch my friend. Wonderful vision and a superb capture and image. >=))>
