A lovely interpretation of an Amaryllis, Sandy. I like the look of transparency you achieved in the petals.

Sandy: Really pleasing result. We have a bunch of amaryllis in our garden but the challenge is to find a natural clean BG. I like your studio effort which reminds me I may need to get back to that myself. :+1::+1:>=))>

Ours are in pots in the sunroom, so it’s easy to move them for a nice BG.
I’m sure you know this, but some others might not: it’s simple to use a plain poster-board to slip behind a flower in the garden, for the BG
I have an array of black, white, cream, green, gray, and several others to choose from.
A 2x3’ is usually adequate.

Nice position in frame and the filters you used enhance the presentation. Well done.

The sharpness and irridescence of the petals is pure delight, Sandy. As ever, your framing and presentation is spot on.

Perfect comp and perfect filter. I really like the graphic results.

Well made, Sandy. I admire your artistry in graphic design, a skill I don’t have.

Excellent portrait! What you did with the flowers works well with the black background.
