A number of years ago we made a looping tour through the southwest and found ourselves in Petrified Forest NP. I thought the fractured “wood” made a compelling subject. >=))>
I did not boost the colors other than use a polarizer. Too intense?

Bill, seems to be a perfect fit for WC here. Really enjoying the graphic design of the mosaic overall. Nature sure has a way of reincarnating itself into beautiful structures.
I’m fine with the polarized intense colors, albeit a bit bright. That as always can be monitor to monitor intensity. Maybe a very slight turn down in the glare factor but nothing to get carried away with… 
Bill, we got to visit the Petrified Forest and all the Petrified wood was amazing and colorful. This shows both the colors and enough wood structure to be definitive. (We have a set of bookends, that aren’t this colorful or bright.) I agree with Paul, that especially the yellows seem a bit too bright.
