I got some poses from this “feeder guard” yesterday morning. It was fun trying to get some movement AND iridescent feathers.

Z9, 180-600 lens, Nikon 1.4 TC, monopod, 1/1000th, f 11, 1260mm, ISO 10000, cropped to 3154 x 2620.

The crop and exposure look good to me, Dave. I was going to suggest some more depth of field, but with those settings, you can’t go much further.

Some nice feather detail, Dave, and you caught the iridescence well.

A fine pose Dave. Like the bird being on the tip end of the perch. Some nice throat color caught even though I hope for more detail there overall. A fine catch.
