Anna Flap

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

I caught this anna’s hummingbird moment in the golden hour this morning as he was looking over our hummingbird feeder area for other hummers to run off. He mostly just sat there looking around but occasionally, he would do some brief gyrating around… like this.

Specific Feedback

I’m always curious to know about cropping. Does this look about right?

Nice light and detail, Dave. If it’s not too ugly on the sides, I could see a bit more room, particularly on the left.

Lovely light & good job getting a sharp frame when he got moving!

I’m in the same boat as Dennis, I’d like to see a little more of the LHS, especially with that wing close and him looking that way.

Very cute Dave. I think he’s trying to tell you where to go. The colors in the gorget are really nice.
