I shot this male Anna’s while it was quenching its thirst at my feeder. I got several shots but I particularly liked what the sun did to his head feathers. D500, Nikon 2-500 lens, 1.4 TC, gimbal head, tripod, 1/3200th, f 8.0, ISO 3200, AI Clear, cropped to 2733 x 2066

Interesting shot, Dave. It looks like the bird’s in the middle of a molt with that weird array of reflective feathers on the head.
