This is a fine look at this Harrier, David. The bird’s nicely sharp against a soft (marshy) background that remains recognizable.

David: Marvelous capture. I love the BG and your DOF management. On the small view the eye is a little hard to perceive but on the larger where it’s apparent that the bird is glancing back at you it is a huge deal IMO. If it was looking away from you I don’t think the shot would be as compelling. Really well done. >=))>

David, this is a fabulous image in many ways, and I was especially drawn to the colors of the wetland landscape as those same colors are mirrored in the bird. The brown to tan to white, and even a hint of green in the underside of the left wing–perhaps something in your processing? The placement of the bird in the frame is perfect.
