This is nice Patricia. I frequently see these dune grass wind patterns at the beach, but rarely in combination with a strong second pattern in the surrounding sand. The two patterns, one circular, and the other linear, create some tension and make the image more dynamic. When you include the grass, you have a nice study of lines in this image.
My only nit with this image is that I wish you had more depth of field, and that more of the linear sand ripples were in focus, particularly in front of the grass. The ripples going softer towards the back of the image don’t bother me as much. I see you used f5.6, moving up to f11 would have helped.
I really like the artistic design here that Ed mentions. Also the almost gritty sharpness adds to the graphic quality. The indentation on the right doesn’t work for me because it suggests a footprint. Either way, you’d be better off without it.
Nice seeing, Patricia, with this excellent simple image. I agree with @Ed_McGuirk’s comment. When viewed large, the need for more DOF is apparent. How about cloning out the darker sand in the URC. I think it detracts a bit from this already nice image.
This is really nice, Patricia even considering the suggestions of @Igor_Doncov and @Ed_McGuirk. I agree with Ed about the sharpness and Igor about the indentation. Still very nice.
This is beautiful, @Patricia_Brundage. Lovely color variations, textures, and patterns. I love the way the wind makes these little circles everywhere. Very nicely seen and executed.
