The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
In my earlier post on the Nov. Aurora, I noted that there wasn’t much movement in the colors. That got me to try this three shot pano. This was early in the show when the light wasn’t as bright as it got later. One way to estimate how bright the Aurora was is by how easy/hard it is to see the stars. (In this case, the stars are hard to see along the horizon and easy to see in the corners and on the right (roughly looking due East).
Specific Feedback
You can see the Big Dipper along the horizon to the left as well as Taurus and the Pleides towards the right.

Fantastic pano, with the distant mountains giving an idea of the expanse of the sky. The tiny strip pf kand emphasizes that scale. I love seeing the stars and still having so much color in the aurora.
There may be more activity on the way, but also an almost-full moon.
Lovely colors, Mark. I wonder if you can add a tish of canvas to the landscape at the bottom. It’s pretty much just silhouette anyway, but if feels almost too thin to me. Then again, maybe that anxiety about it is about being un-tethered? If you like that effect, it’s great as is.
When I was in Alaska shooting the aurora, I felt like my lenses were just not wide enough to get all of the sky I wanted. As a result, I too had lots of thin strips of land. It might be simply unavoidable, as with a wider lens the land became really distorted. I shot 16-35mm, wished I had about 14mm.

Mark, truly a psychedelic look here. I was lucky to see a few Aurora events in AK, but nothing this wild. The pano idea works nicely here too…
Thursday is a Super Moon event. I’ve had decent lucky with those in the past using the TPE program ahead of time to get everything planned out…
Mark: I’ve never witnessed an aurora so this is a special treat. I’m in agreement with @Marylynne_Diggs wanting just a smidge more FG but this is pretty darn sweet as is. Many kudos. >=))>
WOW! This is just awesome, even more so with the stars coming through so nicely. I don’t mind the little bit of land, but I do wish the silhouette did not have a break.
Nice Mark. I did the same pano idea that night. I agree with the comments about more land but definitely love that sky! Thats such a great cloud formation. One thing I do is to turn the camera vertical and take a few more images to create a pano with more land. 24mm is getting pretty close to being to long to get a lot of sky and land. I think you’ve done a great job for that focal length. Wasn’t it crazy how much red was in the sky?
