Autumn Is Springing

I was struck by the rejuvenation that goes on in some niches of Nature when chilly autumn weather sets in. Licorice ferns enchant me every year as they sprout from mossy coats on bigleaf maple trees or other similar situations. The fern, its moss, and the mushroom are all taking their cue from the weather … it is their equivalent of springtime.

Dick, this is a nice scene of all the greens and browns found in the fall. Nature is so amazing. I really like the little mushroom that you included in the scene as well.
