A nice shot of the eagle over the oyster beds, David. To my eye, it looks as if Topaz overdid the noise reduction/sharpening significantly on this image. It seems to have a tendency to erase detail in the noise reduction phase, then tries to put something back in during the sharpening phase and just creates coarse detail instead of the fine detail you’d like. That said, printed and viewed at a reasonable distance, this would look fine.

Yeah, I would agree with you about the sharpening issue and topaz. In fact, I tried to go over this with a soft brush in order to lessen the sharpening effect. But I couldn’t make a convincing enough to keep trying.

Nice pose and environment. Such regal birds - well caught.
I use Smart Sharpen in Photoshop. Usually works quite well for me.
