Balds Eagle & "Friend"

What technical feedback would you like if any?

What artistic feedback would you like if any?

Any pertinent technical details:

Canon 6d Mark ii. Tamron 150-600 handheld.

The eagle just made a kill and was feasting on it when the ravens arrived to scavenge. I have some other images with 2-5 ravens arriving. This one shows best the eagles “don’t mess with me” attitude.
Any critiques welcome.

It looks like you have plenty of detail, Lucy, so you might want to go with a tighter crop to emphasize the interaction of the two. Their heads get pretty small in the frame at this scale, so their “looks” get a bit lost. Excellent catch on your part.

Brave raven! Very nice catch.
The tree is getting a little soft at this resolution, so I’m not sure you can enlarge much more - but certainly try it.
Nice as is, though. Sometimes a wider perspective gives a sense of environment, which is fine.

Hi Lucy,

A good capture of this very bold and brave raven. I believe that leaving the image as is will provide you with the best image quality. The large version is slightly soft, but still pretty darn sharp for a hand held shot. Well done capturing these guys…Jim
