Barn swallows

Critique Style Requested: Standard

Description

I visited the state park pond which usually has families of kingfisher this time of year. Kingfishers have been a no show unfortunately. I’m wondering if the 14 inches of rain we had in two or three days did the nests in this year. Hope not.
I thought I’d have some fun with the barn swallows that have frequented the pond.

Looks as if you had some nice light, Allen. Good look at the swallows; I particularly like how they’re lined up on the branch.

Cool shot of these youngsters, Allen. They’re looking very well fed. Your compositions are both excellent.

Allen, You aced the composition on both of these images. You must have told the birds to space themselves for perfect composition. And the bokeh is great as well. Maybe you waited around for just the right moment. Excellent job of seeing, the most important skill in photography. I agree with @Allen_Sparks about your managing super light well. Superb images.

Hi Allen
I think the 4 Barn Swallows are just too small for the length of a branch. I do like the second post’s framing.
