Description
While observing and photographing Elephant Seals on a California beach I noticed these two large males facing off with each other. This brawl lasted for at least 15 minutes before one of the bulls backed off and made his way into the surf. These battles are fought for dominance and mating rights to the females. They can be brutal at times and result in injuries, although no blood was spilled this time.
