Big Horn Sheep

I found this female and lamb high up in Jackson Hole in February. I liked the interaction with Mom watching closely. There was a huge amount of snow that month. The rock colors added to the scene for me.

Comments and critiques appreciated.

Love the environment and DOF and the opposite poses work well here.

Just out of curiosity, I want to know if F 8 is your favorite setting (something like National Geographic photographers used to follow ‘F 8 and be there’ during last century.

F8 is my starting point on multiple animals in the same frame. If it works I stay there. if not, I adjust. Thanks for the comment.

The texture and color of the rocks really add to this scene for me. I wish I could see a little more of the youngster’s face but I know how committed to eating wild animals can be!
