Hi Allen
I actually like the darker image of the Black-bellied Whistling Duck. I think it’s the white feather blend in the first photograph. Nice work.

Thank you Peter. I tried a bit lighter version as a repost. Any thoughts?

Outstanding sharpness, Allen. Another great BIF series. I prefer the lighter image.

Very nicely done, Allen. The lighter version works well for my taste. There’s still a nice range in the whites without it looking like they’re jammed together..

Hi Allen
That looks very nice.

Wonderful captures!! The last one looks like there was some fog. I too prefer the darker original of the first two, for the magical mood. A version in between would be interesting. It looks like you held down the whites when you lightened – masking? A possible in-between version might be to go to the second version and just pull the greens back down a bit. Easy, since there is no green in the bird. I do like the detail you pulled out in the darks, especially the back wing. Wonderful captures in any case!!
