Black Phoebe

I am not a competitive birder, but I do like to keep various lists; it adds an element of enjoyment to the hobby. The Black Phoebe made my motor-less list, seen by a pond near my home. For a bird that was once considered uncommon in Oregon, I’m seeing it pretty much everywhere now.

Pertinent technical details or techniques:

Canon R5; 100-500 at 500 mm; 1/800 at f7.1, +2/3, ISO 1600- The background is fog.

Wonderful image, Allen. Great framing of the bird with the branches. I’ve started to see more and more of these little gems here in Oregon too.

A lovely set of matching colors, Allen. Maybe clone out the very small speck in the UR. I like the frame too, and the bird is beautiful.
