Any pertinent technical details: I got this shot of a Black-tailed buck patiently waiting for a doe he had an interest in to come out from being bedded down under a very dense low tree in my backyard. Shot with my D500, Nikon 2-500 lens, 1/800th, f/8.0, ISO 3200, 320mm, hand held, cropped to 2862 x 3589

I like this, Dave. Unusual to get such a nice portrait of a buck lying down like this. It’s always difficult to tell, but this image feels like it’s tilted a bit counter-clockwise and could use a touch of rotation the other way.

Great techs and the buck looks quite elegant in a sitting pose, bit unusual. The branches around the antlers make it look tight.
I agree about the rotation as suggested by Dennis.
