Hi Don,
I like this. It reminds me of a recent shot of snow covered branches posted by Ed Lowe. His was snowy and wintry, left to right; this is like a totally different take: green and spring-like, right to left branching. I’m a fan of Palo Verde, and this one shows nicely here.

Thanks, Marylynne. Now that you mention it, this does remind me of Ed’s photo.

It’s only in the last few years that I’ve become a fan of palo verdes.

I really like the way you brought a semblance of order out of chaos in this image, Don. Well done.

I like this, Don, especially how the green flows through the image.

Dennis, Michael, thank you both.

Don: I suspected this was yours from the thumbnail. Another frame filler with all kinds of delightful detail and I also like the color palette. Well seen, composed, captured and presented. >=))>

Dear Don, thanks for posting this image. I find the delicate texture and homogeneous pattern of the twigs interesting, but I also see an image spilling over into graphical design with its peculiar challenges. Here are some suggestions: The even scheme of luminosities (Z3-7) makes it difficult to engage; perhaps one might apply a brush or a linear grad filter to create variation? There are few compositional figures in the image, apart from the thicker twigs; perhaps one might crop the image and get these to play a more prominent compositional role? The even plane of thin twigs makes the image almost two-dimensional; perhaps accentuated luminosities or crop could stress depth where it is?

Bill, Leo, thanks.
