The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
I’m still trying to figure out how to photograph palo verde trees. They grab me. The dotted foliage in the lower left is creosote.

I’m amazed that you somehow captured the tangle of branches in a way that makes sense out of the chaos – the contrast between the white-ish branches and darker background helps to delineate the tree. Almost like infrared. I’m undecided about the creosote bush. I find the contrast in pattern between the bush and the palo verde tree very interesting. However, maybe it’s just me but it feels a bit unbalanced in this composition.
Thanks for the comment, Cathy. If I’d had a choice, I’d probably have moved the creosote out of the frame, but since I didn’t have a choice I’ve decided that I like it.
To me, this is one of those “and what else it is” photographs. With the brighter branches surrounding the darker center, it feels like some sort of anemone or monster trying to sweep me into its center. (no, not puffing anything) Maybe the creosote is its next victim. Maybe darken or soften some of the upper BG brush.
