By Dawns Early Light

Not an original title by far, but it seems to fit the scene I think. If not it was the title of one of my old favorite HBO movies years back…

An open desert summer sunrise near the White Tank area of JTNP. Not too much to add beyond once the sun is over the horizon in the summer, it’s time to find shade. Typically hits the triple digits often in this area and usually in the 80-90 range once the sun has cleared the entire horizon.

A classic desert scene and a beautiful sky color gradient.

Love the personalities of these rocks and their combinations.

Paul, the early light adds a fine touch of red/gold to these rocks. I’m really enjoying how the pile of rounded boulders provides a sense that they were placed there deliberately. The color gradient in the sky is great. My imagination has this as looking at the back side of a large cat as it watches the sunrise.

Very nice color and wonderful shapes in the rocks, Paul. Nicely done!
