Canada Goose Portrait

Nikon D750 Nikon 200-400. ISO 640 i/2000th F7.1. Another from the same day as the canvasback I posted here a few days ago

.

Processed and cropped in LR including sharpening. A few things removed from the water in PS and Topaz Detail for the medium detail boost. (NPN’r told me about this trick) Subtle change on the slider but it is sharper than without it.

I generally don’t shoot the geese but this pose looked good to me and the light was not bad that day. Lots of good birds to shoot. Got as low as i could without laying on the ground.

Comments and critiques always welcome. I try to learn from every post.

Lovely detail, Andrew. Not a bird that often gets much attention. I like your treatment and the results.
