About This Image

This was taken in the Escalante region of Utah in about 2016. It caught my eye and it seems rather humorous at the time. I’ve always liked this image but have never posted it previously. This is a 35mm ectochrome slide that was scanned Into an LS4000 Nikon Slide scanner.

David,

I guess we are to imagine that there were two of you that the mice were sneaking up on. Were you two actually dancing when you noticed them? The title makes this very suggestive that the silhouettes are mice, even though they are what I assume to be cactus.

Hi David,
Well, I have to say that you succeeded as I do find this scene humorous.and you definitely put a smile on my face. The cacti pads do somewhat resemble the ears of cartoon mice. Nicely done.

David, the silhouetted cactus pads do have me thinking of mouseketeers. Good fun!
