Everything in this shot is ponderosa pine or the sky behind one. One component image was an ICM shot. The other was a multiple exposure.

The ICM shot was ISO 100, 20mm, f/22, 1/5th sec., with sharp movement. The multiple exposure was ISO 1000, 74mm, f/8, 1/500th sec.

A very interesting image, Don. I can spend a long time looking at this and trying to decipher the components while the overall look is mostly pleasing. I do find that the large white area at the top tends to pull my eye and then leaves it rather unsatisfied with what it finds there.
Thanks for the comment, Dennis. I think you’re right about the bright area at the top. I have some ideas about fixing that.
This does have a dancing feel. The more I look at it, the more I see dancing figures in the dark shadows, and the ICM is a swirling skirt. I do agree with Dennis on the light area at the top. Having the frame become lighter towards the top is effective in giving this a lighter air, but the lack of detail in that area makes it too strong.

The revision works much, much better, Don. The dancers are now popping out at me big time. Looks like a square dance to me.
